Planning a Giveaway

Tomorrow is finally the last day of school before the Easter holidays.  My cat can't wait for a more civilised wake up time... neither can I!!!

In the meanwhile I'm in the process of planning a Giveaway to mark the 80th Post on this blog.  This is my first one and I thought that I'd share what I wanted to do before it goes 'live' in the week after Easter...

Firstly, I've decided to have a theme.  This Giveaway is called "A Little bit of Me Time".  I hope that the person who wins it will feel rested and relaxed as she (or he!) enjoys the contents of my parcel.

Secondly, I'm going to follow Anne at Marmalade and Catmint's example and double enter anyone who follows my blog before the Giveaway starts.  If you are just calling by and like the idea of pampering treats.. become a follower NOW!

I will post the details of my Giveaway properly on Thursday 12th April.  The lucky name will be pulled out of a hat on Friday 20th April.

I also owe a huge thanks to Anne for posting about Picnik.  I've had hours of fun creating collages for my blog.  If you haven't had a play on it yet, the site is live (and free to use) until 19th April.

  1. Wow - a whole new look - I wondered whose blog I'd clicked on to for a minute. I have upgraded my Picasa which now includes all the Piknik features if you are interested.

  2. Our school's finished on Friday so are already off. Have a lovely break when you get there, having been a fellow commuter (until Fiday gone!) - though at 60 miles a day a tad less than you I know how valuable the school breaks are for recharging the batteries. Linda xxx

  3. Yesterday I had to check twice to see if I was at the right blog. I thought that I would tell you that after Picnik closes...there is another site almost as good. It's called
http://ipiccy.com/editor and they are working on the ability for making collages. It's free and you don't have to register.
Have a wonderful spring break. Happy Easter.

  5. Lovely new header! Did you know you can change the size of the photo when saving in picnik (or wherever) to make it a bit narrower then it leaves more space on your blog homepage (my header was saved at 200), or just to give a different effect . Picmonkey is good as well....Anne is great, I have used several of her helpful tips. Enjoy your last day! x

  6. I have to ask what does the plaque say on the photo of the hut on your header? x

  7. Your header looks great. I've just put one on to my blog as never had one before. Must admit that I had trouble getting it the right size so I'll use some of the tips here.

Congrats on 80 posts! It really takes more effort to blog than I think most people realize. Bravo!
